I am registered with the Telephone Preference Service but it doesn't make any difference.
These are not the only unwanted calls I get and the industry doesn't seem capable of sorting the problem out. I don't see why I should have to pay for call barring to help stop unwanted calls. It probably wouldn't make any difference anyway as they would just hijack some other number to use.
I repeat, with today's technology it should be possible to sort this problem out but there doesn't seem to be the will to do so!
Thanks for coming back to us. Whilst I fully appreciate the concern here we are limited in to what we can advise. I personally have a call guardian phone, which whilst Virgin Media do not support, it helps block these types of calls coming through, as they have to state who they are before the line is connected.
ANOTHER reply to Tony from the team, while everyone else gets TOTALLY IGNORED!!! Is Tony a major share-holder in Virgin, or what? There is definitely something fishy going on here! Think I'll report this favouritism to BBC Watchdog. This kind of thing can not be tolerated in this day and age.
There is certainly no favouritism or anything like that. I can see your last post was resolved by the community answer you were given, which was correct and as such we did not need to answer, as the answer had already been provided to you.
