Can someone post some step by step instructions on how I block specific websites from my Virgin Media Router/hub.

Just catching up on this.
It is possible to block websites on the router but it can be a bit of a drag depending on the size of the site.
For me it was blocking youtube. Note though that this does not apply to the app just the website.
Firstly you need to know the addresses for the youtube.com site.
Run the program nslookup. In windows click on the start menu icon and type nslookup.
This will open a command prompt window.
Enter youtube.com
This will return a number of V6 and V4 addressses.
In the Hub 4 router webpage navigate to Advanced Settings >> Security >> IP and Port filtering.
Add/Create a new rule.
Set Source IP address to ALL. This will cover everyone in your local network i.e. attached to router.
Set single destination address to one of the IP addresses listed in the nslookup output. The V4 ones.
Protocol, source port and destinatioon port should be all.
Enable the rule and save and apply settings once all are added.
You can add time periods as well.
