Hit and run Virgin Media driver

A virgin media van hit my son's car last night after reversing from my neighbour drive and reversed into my son's car and left without stopping. Tried help line 5 times and spent hours on phone with Indian members who hadn't a clue. How do I log a call to escalate this issue.

No, No, No, you absolutely do not engage with any representative of VM, do you have the registration number of the VM van? Your son needs to contact his insurance company, explain the facts and pass on any and all details - that's what you pay insurance for.

Yes he has the reg and a witness who told us of the incident

This is a criminal offence and you need to report the matter to the police as soon as possible, and it is the responsibility of the police to track down the driver and prosecute if there is enough evidence to get a conviction.

The insurance company will usually be able to get a copy of the police report.

We have yesterday and they contacted my son today to say he needs to go through his insurance company and have closed the call. This is a criminal offence as you say but this is the police if today.

Hello Perrin23,

Welcome to the community and thanks for posting this on the forums
I’m sorry to hear that one of our team has hit your sons car and not stopped, I hope that nobody was hurt during the incident. I would be happy to take information from you about the incident and pass to the manager within your area for this to be investigated but I know that you may have taken this to the police already and may not want any involvement with myself or any of our team. Please let me know if you would like me to assist?

Kind Regards,

Hi,

Ive had the area manager give me a call Simon Izard yesterday after I spoke to a engineer in a Virgin van and he passed the information on. I have also explained the whole situation to him and sent photos and video. This morning a Deborah contacted me at 09:30 to say she will be dealing with the problem after talking to Simon.

Thanks,

Dave
