You should check all your email addresses and all your devices, also run malware software.
If you really want to delete an address, you should be able to do that yourself without any VM employee assistance through the myvirginmedia pages - but not the primary account, only those on the manage accounts tab, known as secondary addresses. Hence the reason for locking down the address from hackers.
