I just received a call from 0345 045 0594 asking why I’m leaving virgin media. I gave them my email address and last bill amount (enough details to log into my account) because I figured it was probably safe since they knew I was leaving and I only informed Virgin yesterday, but now I’m having seconds thoughts.
Does anyone know if this number is actually virgin media?
I have also thought of some extra advice for you. I don't know which services you are cancelling. But if it includes broadband and email addresses, check after 90 days that your email address is TRULY deleted. Otherwise it is ripe for hacking with no options for you to control it - thus risking your financial and personal data security and also possibly bothering your contacts with spam.
You can check by using a simple facility at mailtester.com. If the address(es) are not deleted automatically, then come back here and ask for manual deletion.
