wifi issues

hello i contacted virgin yesterday about a billing issue and i just happened to say that the signal is poor is other rooms of the house, so she rebooted my box and sent me a new hub, to which i didnt want or feel that i need, i have not set this new box up as i think i will just have the same problem, i have rang virgin twice today one told me to reset the box as it was showing wifi issues, which i did but it was still doing the same so i rang again spoke to someone else who said there was no problems yet i feel i still have this problem,

Get a better wireless router with 1Gb ports and use the hub in modem mode.
