can anyone recommend best settings for sony bravia watching virgin tv  using HDMI. The normal colour and sound settings don't seem to alter the picture.

Is your TV 4K/HDR? If so the HDMI signal format should be set to Enhanced format. Always use a high-speed HDMI cable plugged into a suitable HDMI input (some models support HDR only on some inputs).

My TV has a HDR setting as well as Standard, Sport and Movie
