phone line

Our router is at the front of the house, the phone line at the back.  It is not possible for the phone to be next to the tv at front of the house. Please can you arrange for an engineer to come and help with this new installation.

Re: phone line

If your socket needs relocating you can call 0345-454-1111 to request this and there would be a fee of £25. However keep in mind that VM are moving towards hub based phone connections so there may not be a need to. They should be able to discuss this with you.

Re: phone line

You also have the option of buying DECT cordless handsets. The base unit will need to be plugged into the router, but most of these now come with multiple “satellite” handsets that can be placed anywhere in the house where there is a convenient power socket.

Re: phone line

The OP is having a new installation.  There will be no charge to reposition sockets or cables in the house.  If it's new I also suspect the phone will be the newer VOIP service from the Hub.
