I didn't think I would need an engineer when purchasing my wifi initially, however all the sockets in my flat are not aligned with the virgin media box that we have. We need a new mains power socket to allow us to connect the box. Been on the website for ages and cannot find anywhere to call a number or book in for someone to come.

You'd need to call customer service 0345 454 1111. However, I doubt they'll fit a new mains socket for you.
You'll likely need to contact a local electrician.
Can you not use an extension plugged in elsewhere?

Thanks for your post @meganjonesj99, as per the response from @paul0363, you would need an electrician to do this for you - or you could utilise extension leads - something I have personally had to do.
The other option would be possibly re-locating the hub to a place closer to the plug socket, which can be arranged by us and would cost a flat fee of £25.00
