Hi, Can someone look at my connection please, it's driving me nuts again. For the last 2 weeks it's intermittently losing connection ( Wired & Wireless obviously) for anywhere to 30 seconds to 5 minutes.
When this happens I check the router status page and the power levels are -12.0 etc like in this pic.
This can last all day some days. I've tried rebooting the router/pc/ and it makes no difference. There are no attenuators attached to the line, all connections are good finger tight. Please can something be done.
I've been with you for years, but if this continues I will be forced to move elsewhere. I pay a lot of money just for the broadband service, and expect it to be better than this. Stop keep giving faster speeds, prefer reliability.
Low power levels cause trouble with my internet connection
All you can do is to check all your coax connections are in nice and "finger" tight at the Hub and wall box and at any splitters/attenuators/etc and that the internal wiring is ok with no kinking or chaffing. Also check that all looks good with the outside cabling and wall box. If thats ok you will need a VM tech visit call it in when its down.
