Wrong Coax?

Hi everyone.

Had an engineer round who installed a new cable for a slim TiVo box in my bedroom, we didn't have the box there in the room but he said he'd installed the right cable for when I had the box as he could see which box was in my package on his system.

The coax cable just won't go in, it doesn't fit although it looks like the right match. I'm stumped as I've looked online for others who've had this but I can't find anything. Can't tell if I need some sort of adapter or if there was something missing when the cable was fitted?

Picture attached below.

Any and all help appreciated!

Cheers

Your missing an adaptor, that converts it to the push type.  I dont understand where the box was while he was installing, if it was being delivered it will be in the box, if it was in another location you can take the adaptor from there

The Amazon one above is better, I’ve been using one for years.

You don't buy the IEC connector, VM will supply it to you. Here's what it looks like connected to my V6.

And here it is next to a biro.

VM's T&C's do not allow any customers to do any work on the VM co-ax installation.  If any alterations need to be carried out, it's a £25 fee for a VM technician to do the work.
