Will a virgin engineer replace wires when they install the service?

Several years ago we were with Virgin Media for our internet connection and switched to sky (now looking to switch back to virgin). Since the Virgin wall socket is right by the entrance the engineer ran wires/cables close to the wall/over a wall frame and to where the router would sit, the cables look quite old and in poor condition/outdated. Would the engineer that would come to install the router switch those out with new cables or is that something separate I'd need to arrange...?
Also there's a small loose lead that runs from the virgin socket to the BT one, is that normal...?
Thank you for your post, our engineers would replace any cables during the install that are faulty. They would also replace or re direct internal cables at your request on the day as long as it is feasible and safe to do so.
The smaller cable going to the bt socket is an old phone line which we no longer use due to our new system for landlines
