Have had a diabolical response from Virgin for the best part of 2 months. Initial pixellation problems led to their engineers trying to force a wire through, breaking the (previously functioning) internet and killing all television.
After hours and hours of phone calls, lack of promised call backs etc, a 'repull' has been completed. I now have a small piece of rope hanging out of the little grate on my property which clearly has the one end of the line from the box down the road.
My question is simply whether it would require a specialist engineer to connect that up to the house (a metre away) or whether any engineer should be up to the task? A promised visit looks unlikely, and that particular visit was 2 weeks after the phone call. Can a 'standard' engineer connect the extrnal line to the house?
THanks in advance

Hi PTurtle,
Thanks for posting and sorry to hear you've had some issues with your connection.
A standard engineer should be able to connect you, can you confirm if you do now have an appointment booked for this?
