Hi, I am trying to change the network name and password in my powerline wifi boosters and the Virgin Media PDF manual says this can be done by 'simply' logging in to http://virginmedia-vmp however, as you will see if you try this link, it is dead and I can find no way of getting in to my boosters to reconfigure them - can someone help me please? Thank you in anticipation

The link below is a post also asking question re: http://virginmedia-vmp

Take a look at the very last entry in the post for a suggestion as to how to proceed ....

Thank you for responding but I’ve seen that thread and it points to the http://virginmedia-vmp web address which is a dead link.
This is exactly the problem I’m having. All resources point to this web address but it no longer works. I’m after someone who knows what web address has replaced it. Or alternatively another method for changing the password and network name in my wifi boosters.

The post explains that :  An ethernet connection to the booster is needed to access http://virginmedia-vmp
The Powerline extender and your computer need to both be network cabled to the Hub for the link to become available.

The other option is to use a Network Scanner app on you mobile phone, and scan the network for the IP address of the Powerline adaptor.
Having found the IP of the Powerline extender enter that IP into the URL of a web browser.

Ahh, I see. But I do have an Ethernet cable going from the hub my MacBook Pro is connected to (via a Thunderbolt cable to the hub) direct to my router and an Ethernet cable from my Ethernet cable to the Powerline.
I wonder if the issue is my MacBook is using wifi and not the Ethernet cable. I’ll try turning wifi off. Thank you for the idea. I’ll report back.
