Wall socket doesn't work with connector

Hi there,

We've just moved into our first flat 5 days ago and ordered virgin broadband. Its the hub 3 but the connector won't fit into the wall socket.

I've added pictures so you can see our wall socket. We desperately need it fixed as soon as possible for work reasons.

Kind regards

Becky and Sam

Not pictures attached?

Maybe you need to reduce the size before upload?

Here is our socket. Looks like we would need a tech to come and install the VM specific one?

That looks like a TV aerial socket.

Do you have anything like the below:

Sort of. But they are coming out of the wall not under the box

Hmmm that looks better.

Could you try the HUB in one of those connectors (Should screw in). Be careful with the copper wire as it should be straight when screwing the connector into the HUB!

Ignore the cable that came with the HUB for now.

It did fit into the hub so that may work. We are now having trouble fixing the ethernet cable into the socket now as it seems the port is too small for the cable to clip in.

There are 2 RJ11 telephone sockets, which are small, and 4 RJ45 sockets, which are larger. It’s the RJ45 sockets to use and they are a standard fitting.

The ethernet cable is for a device, not the wall socket!

That looks like Sat connectors
