Wall port and cable do not fit

When attempting to set up my Hub 3.0, the cable which is meant to connect does not fit into the cable from the virgin box on the wall. They both have pins, I am very confused as none of the included cables seem to fit.

Don't use the cable on the left connect the cable on the right to the hub undo the attenuator fit it on the hub then the cable?
