I have broadband kit arriving on the 29th Dec, but no Virgin socket. Removed before I moved in.

The NTL cable termination box is outside. it requires an engineer to pull the 4 pair cable through that connected to the old NTL socket and connect to a new Virgin socket.

This is a self install with no engineer required. I was advised by Virgin sales to contact and request a socket.

VM only have a record that there was a previous customer at the address, not what kind of state the wiring was left in by the previous occupants. You will need a manned install to reinstate the internal coaxial socket & safety isolator (the phone socket is disused & is no longer required, as landlines now plug into your VM hub). If you ring the provided number in the post above, this should be easily arranged.
