Virgin media box outside but none inside

Hello,

I just moved into a rental property and there is no VM box in the wall that the QuickStart guide refers to but there is a small brown VM box on the front of the house that goes around to the back of the house. The Hub’s base light is flashing green and the green wifi light is on.

Do I need to have an internal socket installed? Need this sorted asap as I work from home.
