I've just moved into a new flat and I'm interested in signing up with Virgin broadband. Unfortunately, the online postcode checker reports that Virgin's services are not available at my new address.
However, to my surprise, when I moved in, there appears to be a Virgin cable in the lounge, and my landlord's representative confirmed this is indeed a Virgin cable. To top it off, other flats in the same building are valid on the postcode checker, and I can see Virgin Media routers on my phone's list of WiFi connections, so I see no reason why Virgin would be unavailable here.
Any ideas what could be going on here? Is it possible the postcode checker is wrong about my new address? Or is there something unique about my flat which prevents me from using Virgin? Is there a way I can get this checked more thoroughly by Virgin?
I am in need of an internet connection soon so I've had to order a connection with a different provider (sadly VDSL), but I think I still have time to cancel, and would prefer to do so if I actually can get Virgin.
Thanks!
