VM told me no service for 7 days

Hello

My broadband stopped working yesterday morning, so I'm 36 hours without service.

When I called VM today I was told "not to worry, it will be fixed in 7 days"

I'm in Stevenage, SG1 I am keen to understand why it takes that much time to fix a fault.

VM service status shows green, Broadband

I only get green flashing light on router. I remember I used to be able to get help here.

Looks like not anymore

Possibly a local cabinet problem. Status page does not reflect very local issues only ones that affect 1000’s of users. Call customer services and see if you can get any news on when it will be fixed. You could try to see if any neighbours are also affected.

Re: VM told me no service for 7 days

Initially I was told by Virgin's CSR that there is an outage in the area.

Then few days later I was told that engineer's visit in needed.

The engineer then told me new cable must be ran from the cabinet to the property. Now the new cable allegedly has been ran, seems very quick that VM managed to ran brand new cable and I now have broadband service.

Take a look in your omnibox, if the cable looks new and the plug is bright and shiny, they have done a re-pull.

VM always quote 7 days for faults where they aren't exactly sure of the fix time
