V6 & Hub power leads

Hi, appreciate this may have been raised before but I couldn't find an answer for it when I was searching.

Is it possible to replace the power bricks that come with the V6 box and hub with normal power leads? Just looking to cut down on the clutter around my TV.

Re: V6 & Hub power leads

no, you should only use the power cable that comes with the hardware.

Re: V6 & Hub power leads

It’s impossible. A normal power lead would supply mains voltage, nominally 240v AC in the UK. A power brick, simplistically, reduces the level to probably 5v or 12v, also probably DC not AC.

Re: V6 & Hub power leads

The V6 requires the adapter for DC 12V 2.5A.
