We are currently using the Superhub 2 - On the last upgrade over a year ago Virgin did say they would send a 4 out but it never happened....

Anyway, we have just had the email offering to upgrade to the Hub 5 - Is there any downside to this. Im thinking of the advanced settings. Is there anything missing from what you can do on the older hubs...assigning ip's opening ports etc?

The Hub5 is not officially released yet .... they dont say... but in reality you are beta-testing it for them. There are lots of issues that are arising in the firmware that will need fixing before it get supplied widely.

If your SH2 is working fine... dont try and fix it.... stick it into modem mode and get your own better quality router if you want more features

I have the hub 5 and I agree that you try to keep the one you have. My latest with the hub 5 is it rebooted last night and took the software with it meaning I need a pinhole reset to fix it (the 5th pinhole reset so far), I am not going to bother though, had enough now, just going to leave it broken.
