TiVo Box Quickstart

Got my new TiVo Box for QuickStart Installation but the Startup Checklist constantly gets to “Configuring Network Settings” and sticks. Telephoned customer service for help with no success so now have an Engineer’s appointment booked. (Defeats the object of QuickStart!) Anyone got any suggestions or met this same problem so that I don’t have to wait for the Engineer?

You didnt say... did you call in to "activate" the new box as per included instructions?
If you did, try again as sometimes it can go wrong. Activation number was 0800 953 9500
