I’ve just signed up for a new broadband connection and, in the absence of a Virgin line, booked and paid for an engineer to visit to install a line. This appointment is scheduled for in a few weeks
However I now gather that I may be able to use the ancient Telewest box that is in my flat. (I tried to attached a picture but kept getting html error messages)
My question is what happens if I opt to do that? If I just cancel the appointment online will I be refunded the £30? And what happens if it turns out that the Telewest box doesn’t work/is broken etc? Will I just be able to rebook an engineer to visit? And if so, will my contract start date move to when the connection becomes live?
