TV connector broken?

Hi,

Just received our QuickStart kit and went to put the isolator cable in the TV connector but it won’t fit. Without wanting to sound stupid, this connection here is clearly broken right? Will we have to get Virgin to come out and replace it?

Re: TV connector broken?

That’s not a cable connection point.

Re: TV connector broken?

not sure its broken - hard to tell from the image but that looks like a 'normal' aerial cable connector - post a better photo showing all of the box

if it is a normal aerial connector you are looking for something else - start with the external box which should be on the front wall and work back into the house looking for an internal box

Re: TV connector broken?

Your Quickstart installation guide should have a section with some pictures, like this:

Re: TV connector broken?

Right, now I’ve found somewhere where the red cable does connect to which is by some sort of box which looks like it requires an ethernet cable but doesn’t seem to be able to fit one... A438B760-9AE7-4391-80CC-0716C3B1709E.jpeg

Re: TV connector broken?

The second box is the landline, if you have that in your bundle.

Re: TV connector broken?

Your installation guide should have pictures of the landline connection:

Re: TV connector broken?

Can’t find a VM socket anywhere. Must have had one in the past and different tenants have changed provider. Think I’ll have to book somebody to come out, thanks anyway!

That would be slightly different if it's one of the Hub 3 connected landline accounts, rather than to the older style wall point.
