Still issues, need engineer please

I posted a few weeks back and can't find posts,

Still having issues months later, upgrading to 1 gig last month and still dropping out like the clappers,

Gaming has even higher pings than when I was on 350m

Speed isn't an issue it fluctuates as expected but so inconsistent with the service

Netflix buffers alot and reverts to hd and not uhd

Tried different variations, I remember setting up a bqm and then had no reply

Router mode then modem mode (majority of my devices are ethernetted or WiFi 6 (new phones etc) or ac.

Engineer has changed the cable from the junction box on the front wall to the incoming room (was a Rg something cable but he changed it to a rg15 or something or other.

When ringing them they tell me signal levels are low then try something send engineer signal levels are apparently fine, conflicting info

Upload seems to fluctuate alot from around 20 to 49m.

Samknows says incoming speed 1004 to phone that's wifi 6 870 (not a problem)

But no good if its not reliable

Been this address for 4 years and never had this much trouble before

Re: Still issues, need engineer please

What speeds do you get at >> Sam Knows Real Speed << with a direct connection using a Cat 5E or better ethernet cable between the Hub in Router Mode and a 1Gbs capable Pc/Mac/Chromebook and no other devices connected ?

Can you Login to the Hub Settings and navigate to the Connected Devices page - what is the reported 'connection speed’ for the ethernet cable connected device you used for the speed test ?

Re: Still issues, need engineer please

Can you set up a Broadband Quality Monitor (BQM) at thinkbroadband.com - this will give you an insight into what is happening with the signal at the other side of the Hub, it will take a few hours to get any kind of trend showing although you should post the link straight away.

Post a 'Live Link' to your BQM on here.

Instructions for posting BQM Link

Under your BQM graph are two links in red.

Click the lower link (Share Live Graph) then click generate.

Copy the text in the Direct Link box, beware, there may be more text than you can see.

On here click the Link icon (2 links chain to the left of the camera icon)

In the URL box paste the link you copied and in the ‘text to display’ box write My BQM then click OK - you can post the link straight away.

Re: Still issues, need engineer please

Can you please

Type 192.168.0.1 (192.168.100.1 in Modem mode) into your browser URL bar and press enter.

Hub 2 & 3 When the page appears DO NOT LOG IN but click ‘Check Router Status’.

Hub 4 When the page appears LOG IN then Advanced Settings > Tools > Network Status.

Copy and paste the contents of the Downstream, Upstream, Configuration and Network Log tabs onto here, if you get a yellow / straw box warning click the Post button again. Use one post for each tab if you wish.

Please do not use screen grabs.

A Guru will be along soon to decipher the info.

Re: Still issues, need engineer please

One of you upstream channels is out of spec on QAM, which means you could have an noisy line:
