Router stats

Hi all,

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Ive been checking the stats on my SuperHub 4 and the signal strength and SNR seem to fluctuate up and down each day. I assume this is normal?

The SNR values are also identical right down to every decimal place on many of the channels. Surely this can't be accurate?

I also keep getting network log errors for T3 time outs and something about the power level exceeding the maximum value allowed:

RNG-RSP CCAP Commanded Power Exceeds Value Corresponding to the Top of the DRW

My signal levels and SNR are "within spec" between +4 and +6 on all channels and SNR averages 37. Minimal post RS errors apart from fresh after a reboot.

Just looking for guidance on the accuracy of the above stats and if this is all normal.

Cheers all.

That's not uncommon with both Upstream and DS SNR.  Your forward levels should be between -6/+10 and SNR above 34.  Return levels should be between 33-51 with SNR above 28 (ideally 32) but cant see US SNR from hub Data.

T3's are when Ranging Request Retries are Exhausted and can be caused by network issues or a faulty splitter or isolator.  Check all connections are clean and tight and reboot the hub to clear counters.  See what they are after 24 hours.  Low numbers wont cause an issue so if there's no problems with service, i wouldn't worry

Couldn't thank you enough for your help and that reassurance is all I was after.

So far my experience of VM has been overall poor (from CS) but the engineering resource VM have is amazing.

Its the staff like you which really do make a massive difference.

Have an amazing weekend and thanks so much again.

That's ok, I'm pleased  I could help.  Thanks, have a great weekend as well
