Router on going problem

On going router problems.

Modem/router has again reset itself to factory settings again yesterday, losing passwords, SSID’s etc. This is in spite of the engineer visit last week which clearly hasn’t fixed the problem.  What next please?

Now got flashing green lights and no internet

Re: Router on going problem

maybe one problem maybe two - flasking green light is extenal fault but that [normally] would not cause hub to reset

what did the tech do last week

post some info

it might be meaningless until internet comes back but post it all the same then post it again when internet returns

log into hub3 - 192.168.0.1 [or 192.168.100.1 if in modem mode] - DON'T SIGN IN, click - click router status [centre of screen] - and post the downstream and upstream figures - to see those press on the grey buttons/boxes labeled - upstream - downstream

if its an earlier hub button is top right

Re: Router on going problem

Thanks Tony.  Turns out ther is an outage in the area hence the green lights.

Still does not explain the router problem. The engineer changed some cables and checked the signal strengths, declaring them fine.  Beyond that, monitor and get back if problem persists.

Can’t connect to hub ATM, probably due to outage.  Will add the figures when access returns.
