Red light on modem

Hi I have a red light on my modem that won’t go out. The modem is not in a hot area and the sides are not covered

Hi @Tlarkin1 

Depending on the modem model, you could try a 'pin hole' reset to see if there's any change.

A red light usually means a replacement is needed, but I'm sure one of our VIP's or Forum Team will be able to help you further.

In the meantime it can't hurt t try the reset.

Sorry for all the issues caused.

Can I just ask whereabouts your Hub is placed within the household i.e. is it in a well-ventilated spot away from sunlight etc.?

Yes it is sitting in open space in the living room it has been there for over a year even during very warm summer months but now it is constantly red ? 

Can someone from VM please advise what I should do I have a modem that is permanent red 

as requested I have carried out all the tests but still it is red 

is the modem dangerous?? 
Can it be replaced and if so how quickly?? 

I have not had an answer for 24 hours can someone please respond
