Red light on SuperHub 3 in modem mode

Hi. I’m using my SuperHub 3 in modem-only mode. It’s working, but the light at the bottom is solid red, which the Virgin Media website says could be a sign of overheating. The website says it should be solid magenta. Please could somebody from Virgin Media respond? I tried using the website chatbot, but I kept going round and round in circles, with no option to chat with a real himan being.

It does look magenta to me, however I completely understand your point that these lights are confusing. It can be really hard to tell the difference between magenta and red, and can look different in photos / real life. As colours, they are very similar. I will pass on your feedback regarding this now.

 

As your Hub is running well and not overheating, it sounds like everything is fine and that the light is just an indication of Modem mode 🙂
