Quick start lead too short

I have just moved in and successfully connected to the TV and broadband services without issue. The quick start lead is surprisingly short though considering that during an engineer fit the cable can be cut to whatever length is required. It's almost like the QuickStart option is intentionally restrictive to make you pay for an engineer install. Can a longer cable be provided?

No. Only set lengths are provided, as longer cables affect the signal levels & hence performance of the service at the property. To change these levels requires access to the street cabinet.

If you contact VM & speak to them nicely you may even get the tech visit for free.

you should be able to book a tech with no charge - simply say its not working

Sorry though to hear that the lead you have received is a little bit to short 

I can arrange for an engineer to attend to sort this out 

And please don't worry about any charges
