Question about QuickStart and engineer visit

Hi guys, I opened an account with Virgin Media a few days ago, and since i already have Virgin cables installed, I asked for a QuickStart kit. After a bit I noticed that one of the cables in the house has been bent, I then called the Customer service and asked if I could have an engineer visiting instead of the QuickStart kit being sent, they said yes and I should expect a visit the same day the parcel was supposed to arrive.

Today is the day and this morning I received an SMS saying that the Quickstart kit is on the way, and on my Virgin account there is nothing referring to an engineer visit.

What should I expect?

The only way to get an immediate answer to this is to dial 150 & talk to customer services.

The response times from staff on these boards is 2 to 3 days.
