I ordered quick connect broadband.
I was not aware there needs to be. Virgin portal to screw in the round cable to? We don't have one on our walls. There are some old antenna portals but they're in another room.
At the moment I've just plugged the yellow ethernet phone type plug into the modem as this was all that was plugged into our working EE modem.
We are now without internet, is there any way I can get it going?

That won't work. Do you have a VM / Telewest box on the outside of your home?
If you do try to find a cable that runs into your home from there.
