We opted for self install as it came up as an option but our house does not have a virgin media wall socket. It seems the previous owners used another broadband and the openreach engineer appears to face removed the wall socket and replaced it with an openreach one.
Any help appreciated....

You need to call virgin to arrange a tech for a manned install. Wouldnt it have been prudent to check for a virgin socket before you placed the order?
