No wall socket

Hi! 

We have ordered virgin media and got the option for self set up but we don’t have a virgin media wall socket! Any advice would be highly appreciated! Is there a way I can book an tech to come out and put one in? Will that take a while? We need this sorting ASAP!

You dont always have an internal socket. Have a look outside for a brown box and trace cable from their if found.

Thank you for making your first post regarding the wall socket and your self install.

Can you check outside and look for the external wall box? It's a 6" brown or grey square-ish box, usually on wall facing the road or pavement. Follow any cables that come from it and go inside - if you can't see any cables, look inside opposite external box as they may just have drilled through wall. It may just be a cable rather than an internal wall box. Let me know how you get on!
