No brown box

Hi, I moved house yesterday, I’ve been told by virgin media customer service that I can just plug my box in at the new address and I’m good to go. There’s no brown box outside this address and no cable coming into the house for me to plug in. I called customer service again and they said it will work fine without a brown box but communication was difficult as he didn’t really understand what I was saying. My wifi is really slow. What can I do?
