No VM wall socket

I’ve moved into a new rented place and was given the quickstart/ self instal option for my broadband.
But I’m stuck halfway as I don’t have a VM wall socket and had no idea I needed one.

I’ve looked all over the virgin media site for a way to contact a engineer or make an appointment  but haven’t found one.If I had known I wouldn’t have got virgin in the first place.

I use the internet for my work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Some properties do not have a socket, just a trailing cable.  Look outside for the VM box on the wall and trace the cables inside if possible.

If you can't find any cables, then ring VM and ask for an engineer to install.   VM will normally only send Quickstart kits to properties that have been serviced in the past.

if you find a cable it should connect into the hub but you really want to get one of these

so you can add the isolator cable
