The previous tenant had virgin broadband so I was sent the kit to do the installation myself.
the only sockets I have found in the flat are
1. Sky (I plugged the hub in to it and doesn’t seem to have a connection)
2. One socket where the cable doesn’t fit.
Help! I need to work ASAP 😞

You can also check for a loose cable as not all properties have a socket. Look outside for a brown or grey VM box on the wall and trace the cable to the inside. If it is a loose cable only, you will need one of these to connect the Quickstart cable. https://www.diy.com/departments/slx-f-type-satellite-cable-coupler/5028422001905_BQ.prd
If there is no cable, then a technician will be required to fix this. Wait here a day or two for a VM Mod to pick this up, or phone in.
