No Provision of Service!

What do you have to do to get service activated? Nobody seems capable of doing what should be a simple task! Every one but Virgin have the new build address registered on their system. Been waiting nearly 3 wks, hopeless! If Virgin weren't the ONLY provider service would be taken out elsewhere! Yes Sales have been contacted before you ask

Re: No Provision of Service!

No. It is a new build property. Trying to get a phone line, internet, TV but only Virgin can provide service. Not sure if it is an agreement between the Developer & ISP, was astonished myself to be fair as you would assume that all ISPs could provide service due to fair competition but apparently not

sounds like nonsense.

BT have a legal obligation to provide service to a property if it's requested.
Virgin, on the other hand have no obligation to provide service to anyone.

my thoughts are that the developers have wired up for cable, but do Virgin actually have service provision in that area? it's possible they don't.

Re: No Provision of Service!

It is nonsense. Virgin do have the Provision, even done a leaflet drop. Honestly you couldn't write it

Re: No Provision of Service!

you need to take this up with the developers then.
it was them that did the cabling work, and it's them that need to inform virgin that they have completed the works.

keep chasing the developers until you get a result, it is their responibility to ensure it is complete.

and the nonsense was about BT, you can request a BT line to be installed and then have the choice of any openreach based ISP.
