New connection - stats check - slight packet loss?

Hi, I recently had a new vm line installed - m350 package in a newly installed RFoG area. My connection has been ok, speeds are ok and latency is not terrible. I am running vm hub 3 on 610 firmware in modem mode and using my own Netgear XR500 for the routing. I set up a BQM however and i am getting intermittent 1-2% packet loss. Is this normal?

BQM:

My Broadband Ping - VM350

Ignore the obvious disconnections that was me messing with my router settings.

My modem stats look ok except for upstream power which looks low but I am RFoG and only 70 metres from the cabinet so maybe thats why.

Re: New connection - stats check - slight packet loss?

No one knows? Is it normal to have this slight intermittent packet loss or is it just my router not prioritising pings?

Upstream is way too low, should be 31 or greater not 27. You need a technician visit to correct. Call customer services and report the problem.

Re: New connection - stats check - slight packet loss?

Should it though? For an RFoG area with being close to the cabinet I've heard it's OK to be lower. All upload channels are running at 64QAM with no issue.

Hi there Super_Bladesman

Thank you for your post.

We are sorry for any service issues experienced.

We can see in the thread that an engineer visit has been suggested.

Has a visit been arranged for you?

If not we can arrange one on here for you if you wish.

Re: New connection - stats check - slight packet loss?

Acceptable range is different in FTTP.

27 - 45 upstream. Downstream remains the same.
