Hub is up and running, wifii slowly speeding up
But no ethernet.. Tried different devices on different ports with different cables just to be sure. Inboard diags report ethernet as good. Call raised and they're sending out a new one
Seems there have been a lot of complaints/issues with the hub 4

WiFi is probably restricted by the device you are using, all depends on if it WiFi4 or WiFi5, the number of aerials in the device and other factors. The max you can get with the hub will probably be 867MHz due to various overheads. Your connection supplied by VM is only guaranteed for an Ethernet connection, no ISP ever guarantees WiFi performance due to so many external factors.

Try a 30 second pinhole reset of the hub with no ethernet connection.

Already tried without success, thanks anyway

Make sure all the connections to the hub are nice and tight.
Also post the network, upstream and downstream logs from 192.168.0.1

Update to this.
Contacted Virgin who agreed to send a new Hub as there have been loads of problems with the Hub 4.
Waited in to take delivery of the hub ... an ethernet cable arrived ... obviously didn't work
Contacted them again and whist on the call ethernet started working - seems there's a switch they need to flip (metaphorically)
Getting good download speeds over ethernet now ( 900+) but wireless, even standing right next to the Hub peaks around 420. The response was
"other connected devices" - no, just this one
"distance from the Hub and obstacles" - no, two feet away in line of sight
"interference from neighbours devices" - hmm
"you'll only get maximum half" - hmm
Any thoughts on the speed and comments ? Am I expecting too much ?
Thanks

Thanks for the reply. Very useful to know theoretical max. I do of course understand guarantees are only for wired 🙂 and tbh 4-500 WiFi is plenty for me!
