Hi,

I am moving into a new build property which is pre-wired for virgin with brown virgin box externally and Virgin media face plates in living and master bed room.

We are exisiting virgin customers but the new address is not showing up as connected.

Please help.

sounds like the developers haven't update virgin about the status of the connection.
you should chase that up with the developers, as it was them that installed the cabling.

Spoke to developers today and they say Virgin mentioned that it will take three years for them lay cables here!

Also Openreach has installed fibre(FTTH/P) to this home which is live. So would have to now go for BT's Ultrafast broadband plans. 

But Virgin is my preference and has been since last 9 years.

ah so the developers did the house cabling, but there is no actual virgin infrastructure in the area.
you're out of luck then.
