Re: Lost MDD Timeout & RCS Partial Service

You only got two of four upstream channels. Power off the hub, check that all cable connections between the hub and wall socket are tight and reboot. Call VM if the problem persists.

Re: Lost MDD Timeout & RCS Partial Service

Standard is four, some have five in a few areas. You won't get full performance with just two. You have a faulty hub or a network problem.

Re: Lost MDD Timeout & RCS Partial Service

Just unplugged and plugged all the cable back in nice and snug rebooted and yep only 2 upstream channels will give them call.

Re: Lost MDD Timeout & RCS Partial Service

There are still areas that not have been upgraded to 4 upstreams, including mine. I currently have no issues.

It looks like you have an intermittent SNR issue, which would cause intermittent poor latency which could affect your online gaming experience.

How are you connecting to the Hub, wired or wirelessly?
A intermittent SNR issue does not mean you do not have a wireless problem as well.

Re: Lost MDD Timeout & RCS Partial Service

I'm wired straight into the back so have a solid 1GB connection locally.

Re: Lost MDD Timeout & RCS Partial Service

Engineer has been out replaced all the internal cables and ran tests out side he said that it appears to be an SNR issue his tools show it going from 33.8-34.9 on some channels but he knows from a call he did up the road its sitting at 40+ and he would not expect to see a big drop like that 50 meters away so he suspects there is an issue and thats whats causing the intermittent connection problems...

He then proceeded to say that the local cable engineer has been informed and will come out but he knows this guy will just say its at an acceptable level and most likely not do anything.... He told me that another area not far from us had a similar issue and other engineer that covers this area replaced 70+ worth of cable its a shame he is not on call...

So he is going to try a monitor what happens but not much he can do.
