Re: Loft Cable install nightmare

If you assist the technician I.e let him feed the cable to you in the loft I don't see it being an issue

Re: Loft Cable install nightmare

Did you ever get a response to this?

I'm looking to have a 2nd v6 box installed in loft bedroom.

Does the 2nd box have to have a coax input or will the ethernet/wifi suffice?

Assuming that live TV is only possible on the 2nd box with coax input, could I at least use the 2nd box to view programmes recorded on the 1st box if we just go for the ethernet/wifi connection?

I think that could work for me with the set-up I'm looking for

Re: Loft Cable install nightmare

The second box must have coax aswell as this is how it communicates back to Virgin Media to authenticate your services and programs, as well as get Live TV, On Demand and Catchup.

Re: Loft Cable install nightmare

Hi

Yes it will need a coax lead to work.

note they won’t drill more than one storey up a building so it will need connecting where the other cables are.

I ended up pulling the cable through the loft myself .
