I've just had a leaflet through my door stating that "Lightning fast broadband is ready and waiting for you". As far as I was concerned, this estate was never cabled for Virgin when built around 18 years ago. For the past 3 days, there has been a white van with "TBC solutions, Fibre Optic Specialists" on the side and a man doing some cable work right in front of my house under one of the pavement covers. Checking availability on the Virgin site shows " Good news, our services are nearly in your area!". Literally every house around my estate has cable but I haven't seen any road works on the estate at all recently. Is there a way I can tell if it really is available?
