Lazy Installers?

This picture is taken outside my property with two bundles of cable coming out the ground and going to the house next door. From my knowledge, virgin media only needs two cables (one bundle in this case) the phone line and the coaxial cable. So could someone tell me why my property has been listed as unservicable and can someone help me. Utterly ridiculous that the houses either side of me have virgin media and customer service keep telling me theres no virgin media in my area?!

Hey @Merewood,

Welcome to the community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums.

I'm sorry that you have been told that we cannot provide service to your property despite your neighbours having the service, this has nothing to do with the installers being lazy there would be more to it than that.

I would be happy to get this passed over to our install team for them to investigate and get in touch with you to discuss this further. I will drop a private message over now, please look out and we can get started.

Kind Regards,

Steven_L

Thanks for confirming your details via private message, I have now passed this to the team to look into and they will get back to you as soon as possible to discuss this further.

Is this something that can be sorted out quite quickly? its pretty hard living with no internet, and the fact there is two cables going into my neighbours house and youre telling me theres no service is pretty frustratating

Hey Merewood, thank you for reaching out and I am sorry to see you've had a poor install.

I can also see you are in PM with my colleague, please feel free to reach out to him for an update. Thanks

New around here?

Still no response from anyone on this!

Hi Merewood, thank you for getting back in touch.

Sorry to hear you are still awaiting contact from us regarding your interest in our services. The team that deals with these requests may not have got round to yours just yet - but thank you for your patience in the meantime!

If your property is not listed as serviceable we may need to perform some tests and works ahead of offering you our services, which can include a visit to assess the site.
Sadly we can't process new customers via the forum so you can also get in touch with our sales team on 0800 183 1234 who will happily offer further support with this if needed!

All the best.

Molly
