I bought a new laptop but I can’t connect it to the internet it said I have the wrong security number

I presume yiyr are connecting with WiFi. The 'security number' is the password associated with the SSID ( WiFi network name). It can be found on the bottom of the VM hub.

Hi @Jennifergsearle, thanks for your post although I'm sorry you're having issues connecting to your wifi with your new laptop.

Have you been able to get this resolved since the weekend?

As @Tudor has mentioned, this will be what is maybe more commonly known as your wifi password - it can be located at the bottom of your Virgin Media Hub that supplies your internet.
