Just signed up but not showing Blue Light Discount

I signed up for 1Gb last week via Virgin rep. I explained if I joined online I would get the Blue Light Discount. He said there was no need to do it online as he can apply the discount.

However, on receiving my contract it has the full price and no discount applied.

Does the discount get applied later or does this look like an error?

Hi @AnastieByte

Thanks for coming back to us. Rolling Credits wouldn't be on the contract. They are added in the background. I'll send you a PM now to assist further.

Best wishes.

Hey AnastieByte, thank you for reaching out and a warm welcome to the community I am sorry to hear about the pricing error.

To get the Blue light discount you need to sign up from the Blue light website not via the Virgin Website.

Did you sign up via the Blue light website?

I would refer to the OP's statement, and I quote "He said there was no need to do it online as he can apply the discount." ?

Thanks for the replies. I have heard back from the rep. He said "His manager will apply a rolling credit taking the price down to 38.99 matching the BLC discount" He sent me a screenshot of his message to the manager. However, my contract still states £40.99. I'm still not sure what is going on as it still appears if my contract states £40.00 then thats what I will be paying via direct debit or is there something I'm misunderstanding. At this rate I will be looking closely at the 14 day cooling off period!

The sales people tell lies, anything to get their commission. If you signed up through Blue Light he wouldn't get it.

You do NOT want a 'discount to match the price' , because even if that actually happens you will lose it at the first contract renewal. Unfortunately you will have to cancel the contract and sign up through Blue Light.

My name is NOT Alessandro. That's just a tag Virginmedia sticks on some contributors. Please ignore it.

Hey AnastieByte, thank you for reaching out and I am glad to hear this.

A rolling credit is used to bring the contract price down every month, your contract will always state £40, however if you look on your bill to the right it will show credits.

Click this and you will the discount.

Hi Matt

I cant see my bill yet as I only have my contract and the installation is 2 weeks away which is why I presume I cant see my bill or the discount?
