Isolator box damaged

Hi folks

I’m moving house, the connection in the new house is due to switch over in two weeks, this has already been arranged.
However when visually inspecting the internal box, the isolator box appears to be damaged. The connection seems to be clogged with paint, possibly due to some clumsy decoration efforts by the previous owner.

Do I need an engineer appointment for this? Or can virgin media supply an isolator box that I can replace it with myself? I don’t want to be stuck without a functioning connection when the switching date arrives.

Thanks

Ed

Maybe worth calling the Pre-installation and delivery team on 0800 052 1734 and getting a Tech install. In that case you can have the Hub installed in a different (more convenient?) location at the same time

Hi EdBenton,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums. It's great having you on board with us in the Community.
We're sorry to hear the isolator box is not looking likely to be working. We can certainly get this amended to a manned install for you.

In order to do that, I will need to confirm your address with you to ensure we're booking the visit on the right account. I have sent you a private message regarding this. Just click on the little plum envelope at the top right-hand side of the page to access your inbox.

Thanks,
