So we moved our lounge around and somehow the power cable in particular the ends that fit into the power box have been damaged and we now cannot use the internet as can’t get power to the router and unsure if there’s a particular fitting we need to get or if we can get a cheaper version elsewhere,

You mean you need the mains power cable, that has a mains plug on one end, and the other plugs into the transformer brick? That usually uses an IEC C7 connector (colloquially a figure of 8 plug), if you search Amazon, eBay etc for C7 power leads, you'll find photos that show it, readily available in different lengths.

We’ve got the hub 3. It’s about 4 years old now! Requested a new one but never got anywhere.
